Eurozone investor confidence decline from 10-year high

In December 2017, Sentix’s economic sentiment index for the euro zone declined from record high for 10 years.

Investor sentiment index slipped this month to 31.1 points from 34 points in November, while economists on average expected only a slight decrease - up to 33.6 points.

Experts note that the outgoing year is successful for the eurozone economy, as the GDP of the largest members, including Germany, continues to grow at high rates, despite political problems. However, the decline in the confidence index may indicate that investors have taken a pause to assess the situation.
