Review: Euro hits 3-week peak on new French presidential poll

The euro rose to a 3-week high as Emmanuel Macron became the favorite of the French presidential race.

The single European currency added 0.3268% and reached an intraday high of $1.0778, its highest level since March 28.

The euro jumped after a Harris Interactive poll showed that candidate for the presidency of France Emmanuel Macron is supported by 25% of respondents, while ultra-right candidate from the National Front Marin Le Pen follows him with 20%.
