Review: FTSE 100 rose after the U.K. elections

Blue chip stocks in the U.K. soared on Friday, while the pound fell to a seven-week low after the general elections and its results, as no party has a majority.

The FTSE 100 rose 1.1% to 7,530.70. Futures has started slightly lower, but eventually changed course.
