Review: U.S. stocks down slightly

U.S. stocks futures pointed to a moderately higher open on Tuesday, as analysts note that traders refrained from taking major bets ahead of key events this week.

S&P 500 futures dropped 2.35 points, or 0.1%, to 2,422.25, while Dow Jones Industrial Average futures fell 18 points, or 0.1% to 21,341.00.  Nasdaq-100 futures fell 8.75 points, or 0.2%, to 5,685.25.

“Forex and stock markets seem to have entered into the next phase of wait and see trading,” commented Richard Perry, a Hantec Markets analyst.
