UK businesses struggle to recruit skilled labour

In May, 52% of British companies faced difficulties in hiring qualified employees, according to a Lloyds bank’s regular Business in Britain report. In January there were less than a third of such companies (31%) out of 1.5 thousand respondents.

Lloyds notes that the shortage of specialists in the UK has reached its top in ten years amid high employment, a weak pound and fears that EU citizens will lose free access to the British labor market.

However, due to the Brexit uncertainty only 8% of British companies are going to expand the staff in the next six months.
