UK house price growth slowing amid political uncertainty

The UK house prices index dipped in June to its lowest level since just after last year's Brexit vote amid political uncertainty, the latest RICS survey showed. Its index dropped from +17 in May to +7 in June.

According to RICS, 44% of surveyors identified political uncertainty as the main factor explaining the fall of the estate market, with 27% blaming Brexit.

Last week, the Halifax, UK's largest mortgage lender, reported a 1% drop in house prices in June versus the previous month, with annual growth sliding to 2.6%.
