After a relatively quiet period in the previous round of our Analyst Contest, the fight for the 100 USD top prize has again heated up in the 14th round. It’s unsurprising since the Brexit vote gave analysts plenty of material to make forecasts for the weeks (and even years) ahead. There were a few debutant contestants and many participants sending two or more analyses. Dimitry Korotkevich, for example, sent in six entries!
However, in the final rating he only came in third place. This once again confirms that the amount of material sent in does not give contestants the edge to win: you can take first place with just one analysis – you just need to make sure that yours falls on target more than others’. The three prize-winners this round are as follows:
- Yuri Vishnevetskii – 100 USD;
- Valeriy Panin – 90 USD;
- Dmitriy Korotkevich – 80 USD.
Congratulations to our winners and we wish all of the other contest participants good luck! For those that are thinking about getting involved, we recommend you first read the contest rules on the webpage dedicated to the contest.
