The Travelers Companies, Inc (TRV) is the American insurance company. It is the second business insurer and third insurer of natural persons in the USA.
Initially there were two companies. Saint Paul Fire and Marine Insurance Co. was established in 1853 to help the residents of the Middle West of the USA get payments of insurance from companies in the eastern states. Travelers appeared ten years ago. The merger was only in 150 years, in 2004.
The Travelers through its affiliates and about 14,000 independent agents and brokers provide insurance of commercial and private property and accident insurance for business, state agencies, associations and individual persons.
The company has units in each state of the USA and carries out its activity in UK, Ireland, Singapore, China, Canada and Brazil.
American Express (AXP) is a global company providing financial services. The famous products of the Company is credit cards, debit cards and travelers cheques. American Express cards are ones of the most popular cards following Visa and Mastercard.
The Company carries out its activity through four segments:

• global network and trade services.
