July 27 and 28, 2013, BEIJING -- The China Financial Innovation and Development Summit, organized by the Investment Association of China and co-organized by IronFX and the University of Foreign Trade and Economics, took place in the Diao Yu Tai State Guesthouse and the China National Conference Centre on Saturday and Sunday.
The Summit aimed at strengthening co-operation in international finance as well as promoting the sharing of latest practices and information between Chinese financial institutions and well-established international financial institutions as well as experts on international finance.
Worldwide famous names in economics and finance were gathered at the Summit, such as : Zheng Xinli, deputy director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee and the Economic Committee of the 11th CPPCC National Committee; Tang Min, counsellor to the State Council and Deputy General Secretary of the China Development Research Foundatoin; Ba Shusong, Deputy Director of the Finance Institute of the State Council Development Research Centre, Chief Economist of the China Banking Association; Paul Pilzer, renowned economist and economic adviser to two U.S. presidents; leaders and experts from the People’s Bank of China, the China Banking Regulatory Commission, the China Securities Regulatory Commission, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, as well as scholars from well-known academic institutions.
The participants discussed changes in the world dynamics, the re-balancing of the global economy, the strategic positioning of the Ren Min Bi in China’s financial reform, scientific and technological innovation and new opportunities in finance, and financial online trading.
In his summit opening speech, Markos A.
