Angry Birds maker to go public

The maker of the popular series of mobile games Angry Birds, Rovio Entertainment, is planning an initial public offering with an estimated value of $2 billion as early as next month, according to Bloomberg.

The company could raise about $400 million from a local market listing. However, the management has not yet made a final decision and the company could stay private.

The company reported 2016 revenue growth of 34 percent to 190.3 million euros with earnings of 17.5 million euros due to release of "The Angry Birds Movie".
