Asian equities fell on Friday amid drop in technology stocks as investors were disappointed in tech companies' quarterly financial results.
MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares lost 0.3 percent.
Korean Kospi index tumbled 1.7 percent while Japanese Nikkei slumped 0.9 percent.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index inched up 0.1 percent. Australian shares gained 0.5 percent.
U.S. stocks closed mixed overnight with the Dow rose 0.1 percent, the S&P 500 virtually unchanged and the Nasdaq down 0.35 percent.
