Asian stocks rose for a second consecutive session on Friday as economic data from China and Japan beat all anticipations.
The MSCI Asia Pacific Index gained 0.7 percent, rising 25 percent for the year.
Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average jumped 1.4 percent.
Australian shares edged up 0.3 percent. South Korea's Kospi index ticked up 0.1 percent.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index advanced 1.3 percent, on track for its biggest gain in more than two weeks. The Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.5 percent.
