Asian stocks dropped on Thursday, dragged down by a fall in chip shares on concerns that a long expansion in micro-chips industry may have reached its end.
MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares tumbled 1.3 percent.
Japan's Nikkei recovered from early losses to close 0.6 percent higher.
Australian shares slumped 0.7 percent decline.
South Korea’s Kospi index was down 1.4 percent.
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index skidded 1.4 percent.
