Britons will be hit by price rises if EU citizens lose right to work in country

Retail prices in the UK will inevitably grow if EU citizens lose their right to work in the country, the British Retail Consortium reported.

Citizens of other EU countries occupy about 6% of jobs in the UK retail trade, and if retailers have to replace them, the salary costs will increase, which will lead to price rises.

The issue of the employment of EU citizens in the UK after the country's exit from the European Union (Brexit) is one of the most painful in the discussions between London and Brussels.
