China's trade data below expectations in October

China's October exports rose 6.9 percent from one year ago, while experts predicted 7.2% growth, according to new trade figures. Imports soared 17.2 percent, beating the 16 percent forecast.

The readings could become a sign that Chinese economy, after a strong year, is weakening a little this autumn - as Beijing tries to move from processing industry to services.
