Citigroup plans to close three of its four offices in London

Citigroup plans to close most London branches. The U.S. lender will close offices in the City (Paternoster House, St Paul's Churchyard), Mayfair (3 Hanover Square) and Canary Wharf (Promenade Level, Cabot Place East, Canary Wharf).

The only office will continue to work at the European headquarters of the company in Canary Wharf (Citigroup Center, 33 Canada Square).

The centers for servicing well-off customers are best suited to bank's client base and its growing preference for digital channels, Belinda Marks, a Citigroup spokeswoman, said.
