Dollar firm, tax cut legislation eyed

The dollar firmed versus its counterparts on Monday as U.S. tax reform bill is expected to land on President Donald Trump’s desk for a signature before Christmas.

The dollar index was flat at 93.890 after rising 0.5 percent on Friday.

The greenback traded at 112.645 yen following Friday's surge of 0.2 percent. 

The euro fluctuated at $1.1758 after sliding 0.2 percent on Friday.

The pound traded at $1.3337.

Bitcoin lost 2.7 percent at $18,451 on the Bitstamp exchange.
