The fortune of U.S. President Donald Trump fell to $3.5 billion from $4.5 billion in March 2016, according to Forbes. The magazine unveiled the 31st annual rating of world billionaires.
The decrease in Trump's fortune is connected with the fall in the cost of office space in the center of Manhattan, where the president owns about 10 buildings, the publication explained. As a result, Trump takes 544th place in the ranking. A year ago he was 324th.
Trump refused to publish his tax return, which would reveal the true size of his wealth. During the election campaign he claimed that his fortune exceeded $10 billion.
The fortune of world billionaires from the list, published by Forbes, grew by 18% - to $7.67 trillion.
