The S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrial Average were flat in early trade on Friday after the Commerce Department reported the weakest quarterly pace of U.S. economy growth in last three years. At the same time firm tech profits boosted the Nasdaq to a record peak.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average dipped 0.03 percent, to 20,975.67. The S&P 500 .SPX rose 0.07 percent, to 2,390.68. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.38 percent, at 6,072.06.
