ECB keeps policy stance in eurozone unchanged

The European Central Bank (ECB) once again kept interest rates unchanged on Thursday: the headline interest rate for loans - remains at 0%, the deposit rate - at -0.4%, the marginal lending rate - at -0.25%.

The volume of the asset purchase program has been reduced from 80 to 60 billion euros a month, as expected. The quantitative easing program will be in effect until the end of December 2017.

Last time the ECB cut rates a year ago: on March 10, 2016, the regulator cut the base interest rate from 0.05% to 0%.
