Bundesbank President Jens Weidmann considers that the European Central Bank (ECB) should begin preparations to reduce stimulus.
He stressed that the eurozone economy begins to grow faster and the recent trend towards rise in inflation is likely to be sustainable.
According to Weidmann, ECB needs to start discussing the question of when it is necessary to change the wording of statements concerning its future plans.
Economists expect that the Governing Council will begin to adjust its forward guidance when ECB officials gather in Tallinn on June 8.
