EU car sales decline 2% in September

European car sales in September 2017 dropped by 2% to a combined 1.466 million vehicles, according to data from the European Automobile Manufacturers’ Association. 

In January-September, sales of cars in the EU countries rose by 3.7%, to 11.66 million units. 

Sales decline in September was led by two largest markets - Great Britain and Germany. In the UK, car sales fell by 9.3% to 426.170 units, in Germany - by 3.3%, to 288.035 vehicles.
