European shares climbed on Friday, on track for their highest close in a month, after the U.K. and the EU struck a divorce deal on Friday, opening the way to a key phase of talks on trade conditions.
The Stoxx Europe 600 jumped 0.8% to 389.67, on track for its highest close since Nov. 11.
German DAX 30 index soared 1.1% to 13,184.60, and France's CAC advanced 0.5% to 5,415.49.
Spain’s IBEX 35 jumped 0.9% to 10,357.20.
The U.K.’s FTSE 100 inched up 0.2% to 7,332.77.
