Eurozone inflation slows to 1.3% in June

Consumer prices in the euro area rose 1.3% in annual terms in June, decelerating form 1.4 percent in May, according to preliminary data from Eurostat.

Consumer prices excluding volatile factors such as energy, food and alcohol prices increased by 1.1% this month in annual terms after a rise of 0.9% a month earlier.

The European Central Bank intends to hold headline inflation below, but close to 2 percent over the medium term without support.
