Eurozone producer prices rise 0.4% in October

In October 2017, producer prices in the euro area (PPI) rose by 0.3% compared to the previous month, when they had increased 0.5%, according to Eurostat.

In 28 EU countries producer prices rose by 0.4% in the month before last. In annual terms they inched up 2.6%.

The largest increase in producer prices for industrial products in a month was observed in Belgium (2.4%), Ireland (1.5%), Romania (1.0%) and Spain (0.8%). The decline was recorded in Denmark (-1.5%), Cyprus and Latvia (-0.5%), Estonia (-0.4%).
