Gazprom to obtain €1bn loan from Mizuho, SMBC and JP Morgan

Russia's energy giant Gazprom reported on Tuesday it would obtain 1 billion euros in a five-year credit from Japan’s Mizuho Bank Ltd and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp, as well as U.S. bank JP Morgan Chase Bank.

Last December, Gazprom received a €800 million loan from Mizuho, SMBC and JP Morgan for four years.

The Russian energy company also cooperates with the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC). This bank finances the construction of the third phase of the Sakhalin-2 LNG plant.
