General Motors to design 20 new electric vehicles by 2023

The largest U.S. automaker General Motors Co is planning to add 20 zero-emission electric vehicles to its global lineup by 2023.

An emissions-free car project is sustained by strong consumer demand for gasoline-fueled trucks and sport utility vehicles in the United States and China.

GM believes that production of electric vehicles will be profitable because the future seems to become all electric.

GM shares finished up on Monday at $42.15, the top since the company’s 2010 post-bankruptcy initial public offering.
