German ZEW Economic Sentiment indicator in December 2017 dropped to 17.4 points from 18.7 points in November, while economists had ecpected decline to 18.0 points.
Eurozone ZEW Economic Sentiment also declined in December to 29 points from 30.9 points in November. The indicator of the current economic situation in the euro area increased by 2.9 percentage points. - up to 50.7 points.
Prospects for the German economy for the next six months remain positive. The uncertainty with the formation of the government in Germany did not have a significant impact on the investors sentiment, ZEW reported.
