Germany's industrial production drops 1.4% in October

German industrial production dropped 1.4% in October compared to the previous month, while analysts had expected an increase of 1%.

Manufacturing and mining industry output in October fell by 2% compared with the previous month. The construction industry showed a decrease of 1.3%, while the the energy sector production rose by 5.1%.

At the same time, September data was revised upward. According to the Economy Ministry, industrial production fell by 0.9% compared to the previous month and increased by 4.1% in annual terms.
