If global markets fall into disarray, Swiss franc and yen can give shelter

World stocks turning unstable and U.S. equity fluctuating heavier both send a message to investors willing to go into more secure assets in case of global markets collapse.

At the times of instability investors relied on things as Treasury bonds, gold, sometimes opting for bitcoin.

Among currencies the best picks are the U.S. dollar, Swiss franc and yen of Japan.

This year the Swiss franc has grown 2% versus the euro though it slipped a bit in the past month and a half, even though there were disagreements between Italy and the EU over budget expenditures of Rome.
