Inflation in eurozone is not sufficiently converged to ECB aim – Draghi

European Central Bank President Mario Draghi considers that inflation in the eurozone has not been sufficiently consolidated yet to change the forecasts of monetary policy or wording in the ECB's statements.

There are no reasons to deviate from the directions the regulator has been consistently providing, Draghi said during his speech in Frankfurt. Any changes in the ECB's monetary policy are possible after regulator will be confident that inflation indeed approaches to its target, Draghi added.

As previously reported, the annual inflation in the euro area slowed to 1.5% in March after 2% in February.
