Japan's economic recovery continues - Cabinet Office

Japan's government adheres to a moderately optimistic view on the economy in November, according to a monthly economic report. The economy is still on a recovery track, supported by consumer's expenditure and investment in business.

The report came after the government announced this month that the economy had risen for the seventh consecutive quarter in July-September, the longest growth in the last 16 years, although household consumption had suffered a slight fall.

Now the government reports that private consumption was growing "moderately", while the consumer confidence index hit four-year peak.
