Liberal Party wins election in the Netherlands

The conservative-liberal People's Party for Freedom and Democracy (VVD), headed by Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, leads the parliamentary elections after counting 93 percent of votes.

According to preliminary results, the Prime Minister's party will receive 33 seats in the 150-seat lower house of parliament, the far-right Party for Freedom (PVV), headed by Geert Wilders, - 20 mandates.

Gert Wilders have already admitted defeat in the elections. The Party for Freedom, known for its tough policies on immigration, is ready to participate in the negotiations on the formation of the coalition, he said.
