Oil prices rose

Oil prices rose on Monday, but analysts still have a fear that the surge is temporary, especially considering the constant growth of U.S. drilling.

Brent crude futures rose 14 cents, or 0.3%, to $48.29 a barrel from their last close.

WTI crude futures rose 12 cents or 0.3% to $45.95 a barrel.

Traders said that the price increase occurred on the background of speculative traders boosting their investments into crude futures by taking on large amounts of long positions.
