One out of every four UK citizens to begin 2018 with debt on cards

A quarter of British consumers will start 2018 with a credit card debt due to the Christmas spending. The average amount outstanding will be 452 pounds ($603).

Half of them are afraid that they will not be able to pay the debt until next Christmas holidays.

In total, customers spent £8.5 billion on credit cards to prepare for Christmas. Almost a fifth of consumers exceeded the Christmas budget.
