PepsiCo orders 100 Tesla Semi trucks

PepsiCo has pre-ordered the purchase of 100 Tesla Semi trucks. At the moment this is the largest order, Reuters reported.

Representative of the company Mike O'Connell said that trucks are purchased in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. According to him, now the company is exploring the routes on which these trucks will be used.

Tesla has presented its electric truck in November. Tesla Semi will be able to drive on one charge of about 500 km and will be unmanned. Production should begin in 2019. The price for a wagon in a base complete set will be $150 000.
