Review: Asia stocks calm down

Asian shares were broadly positive on Wednesday, taking a time-out after the previous session's rise.

The MSCI Asia Pacific Index increased less than 0.1 percent, pulling back from a gain of as much as 0.3 percent.

Japan's Nikkei climbed 0.3 percent, lifted as the dollar firmed versus the yen.

Australian shares sank 0.3 percent and South Korea's slipped 0.1 percent.
