Review: Asian markets remain largely calm

Asian shares were little changed in early trading on Wednesday after Wall Street again increased to fresh all-time peak.

MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares ticked up 0.05 percent.

Japan's Nikkei was unchanged. Shanghai SSEC rose 0.3 percent while Hong Kong's Hang Seng edged up 0.2 percent.

Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 lost 0.3% and South Korea's Kospi slipped less than 0.2 percent.
