Review: Asian markets wait for a clear idea of the U.S. rates

Investors in Asian stock markets consolidated their recent gains on Wednesday before a meeting of the U.S. Federal Reserve, which could shed light on how monetary policy will be tightened over the course of the year, with condition of immediate rate hike already fully taken into account by the markets.

The MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares grew by 0.1%, being near intraday highs, after fixing its second-largest daily growth this year in the previous session.

The Japanese Nikkei decreased by 0.14%, while the Chinese SSE Composite lost 0.13%.
