Asian shares dropped on Friday after North Korea said it might consider a fresh nuclear test in the Pacific.
MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares retreated from earlier gains and lost 0.7 percent.
South Korea's KOSPI slumped 0.9 percent. Australian shares gained 0.3 percent while Japan's Nikkei .N225 sank 0.4 percent after an increase to a two-year peak on Thursday.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng slid 0.8 percent and Shanghai .SSEC tumbled 0.5 percent.
