Review: Asian shares ease as China regulations dim sentiment

Asian stocks retreated on Monday, with investor mood worsened due to fall on Wall Street and a decline in Chinese stocks.

MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares slipped 0.1 percent.

Japan's Nikkei closed down 0.6 percent.

The Shanghai Composite index lost 0.5 percent, while China's blue-chip CSI300 Index shed 0.2 percent.

Australian shares dropped 0.2 percent, while South Korea’s Kospi index dipped 0.3 percent.
