Asia shares passed its 2007 high on Thursday following Wall Street rally.
MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares ticked up 0.2 percent to scale a 10-year peak.
Japan's Nikkei .N225 soared 2 percent to its top since January 1992 but retreat later to close down 0.2 percent.
Australian shares jumped 0.55 percent to their highest level since January 2008. South Korea's KOSPI was unchanged.
Shanghai .SSEC lost 0.1 percent and Hong Kong's Hang Seng rose 0.6 percent.
