Asian shares were mixed in early trading on Thursday as much-anticipated tax proposal from U.S. President Donald Trump helped to boost the dollar.
MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares slumped 0.4 percent to one-month trough.
Japan's Nikkei increased 0.3 percent, following gains on Wall Street.
Australian shares advanced 0.2 percent while South Korea’s Kospi index inched up 0.1 percent.
The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.3 percent while Chinese stock benchmarks hovered.
