Asian stocks hit a 10-year peak on Thursday after the U.S. Federal Reserve upgraded its economic outlook, virtually reinforcing the possibility of a December interest-rate hike.
MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares rose 0.2 percent to its top in 10 years.
Japan's Nikkei stock index added 0.2 percent.
Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Index lost 0.1 percent, while South Korea’s Kospi index slumped 0.4 percent. \
Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index slid 0.1 percent. The Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.5 percent.
