Review: Asian stocks hold steady

Asian stocks remained stable on Tuesday, following S&P 500 Index fresh record high overnight.

Japan's Nikkei climbed 0.4 percent, set for an 11-day winning strip while MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific ticked up 0.1 percent having advanced in 10 of the past 12 sessions.

Australian shares increased 0.7 percent and South Korea’s Kospi index inched up 0.2 percent.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index and the Shanghai Composite Index were virtually flat.
