Asian stocks climbed on Tuesday as investors focused on a stream of economic data worldwide looking for the signs that the global economy is recovering.
MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares rose 0.7 percent.
Hong Kong's Hang Seng inched up 0.7 percent, reaching its highest level since June 2015. The Shanghai Composite Index added 0.4 percent.
Australian shares advanced 0.7 percent and South Korea’s Kospi index leaped 1.1 percent.
