Review: Asian stocks rise on upbeat economic data

Asian stocks jumped to its highest in more than two years as optimistic data on U.S. production and jobs improved market sentiment.

MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares rose 0.6 percent, while Japanese Nikkei climbed up 1.6 percent, zooming above psychologically important 20,000-point mark, its highest in 18 months.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng was up 0.41% at 25,915.5, and the Shanghai Stock Exchange SSE Composite fell by 0.26% to 3,094.46.
