Review: Asian stocks under pressure after weak U.S. economic data

Asian shares edged down on Monday as weak U.S. economic data damaged investor mood already worried over North Korea's nuclear ambition and approaching French elections.

MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares dropped 0.1 percent in Easter-flat market, while Japan's Nikkei dipped 0.6 pct to hit a five-month trough before finishing up 0.1 percent.

Most European stock markets are closed today for Easter holidays.
