Review: China supports Asian shares

Asian stocks rose on Wednesday, supported by a rebound in Chinese stocks, although investors postponed the adoption of big bets before a long-awaited meeting of U.S. President Donald Trump and his Chinese peer Xi Jinping on Thursday.

MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares was up 0.1%, rising to a 19-month peak reached on March 30.

The Hang Seng fell by 0.19% to 24,215.97, while the Shanghai SSE Composite added 1.06% to 3,256.67.

The Japan's Nikkei 225 was down 0.11% to 18,790.8.
