Asian stocks were steady on Friday due to impressive Chinese exports and imports figures.
MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares rose 0.5 percent, on track for a weekly rise of 0.2 percent.
Japan's Nikkei stock index sank 0.4 percent, looked set to end the week 1.8 percent lower.
Australian shares lost 0.3 percent. South Korea’s Kospi index slid 0.1 percent.
The Hang Seng Index gained 0.4 percent.
